Bringing Mission to Life in Schools

We work with teachers and students across the island of Ireland to help raise awareness of mission overseas. To do this we promote a culture of self-belief in young people so that they can help children in need through their prayers and generosity. We want to encourage school children to take action and become champions of positive change by living out our motto Children Helping Children!

Our materials and activities can help teachers bring mission to life in the classroom. There is a two-fold benefit with our approach:

Our resources help you and your students to raise awareness of mission through classroom activities, prayer, and fundraising. As a result, school children in Ireland can offer solidarity and hope by supporting thousands of children’s projects overseas, which are led by missionaries. These missionaries, who are living out their faith through action, know the value of every donation they receive as they try to help everyone they can regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs. 100% of donations received from school children in Ireland is sent to projects overseas. We report on how these funds were spent in our Annual Review.

Yearly, we prepare new resources that support the Catholic Preschool and Primary Religious Education Curriculum for Ireland and Grow in Love. We also work with the Catholic Schools Partnership to help schools participate more fully in the process Understanding and Living the Ethos in a Catholic Primary School
