Bringing Mission to Life in Parishes

We work with individuals and groups in parishes to bring mission to life across the island of Ireland. Through the support of our Diocesan Directors and our Mission Teams, we facilitate mission workshops and faith formation programmes that offer opportunities for people to learn more about mission overseas, missionary discipleship, Catholic social teaching, and mission theology.

We also provide speakers with overseas mission experience to speak at Masses, Novenas, and parish gatherings. These first-hand accounts of mission overseas truly bring the charitable work of the universal Church to life.

Our resources, materials, and events can help bring mission to life in your parish by:

Highlighting that every Christian is a missionary not only through baptism, but being charitable in their words and deeds

Promoting World Mission Sunday and its annual papal collection during the month of October (Mission Month)

Offering returned missionaries, lay and religious, a platform to share their stories and the impact of their charitable work and programmes overseas

Helping communities in Ireland to feel connected with their brothers and sisters overseas by learning more about their lives and needs
