As a constituent member of the Catholic Church in Ireland, Missio Ireland recognises and upholds the dignity and rights of all children, are committed to ensuring their safety and well-being, and will work in partnership with parents/guardians to do this. Missio Ireland recognises each child as a gift from God and values and encourages the participation of children in all activities that enhance their spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development.
All Church personnel (including clergy, religious, staff and volunteers) have a responsibility to safeguard children through promoting their welfare, health and development in a safe and caring environment that supports their best interests and prevents abuse.

Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults at Missio Ireland
Missio Ireland is fully committed to safeguarding the well-being of adults by protecting them from physical, sexual, psychological, financial, discriminatory abuse and neglect. Missio Ireland accepts that in all matters concerning vulnerable adults, the welfare and protection of such adults is paramount.
Missio Ireland aims to adhere to the HSE Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse National Policy and Procedures and to minimise the negative impacts of risk, while respecting and upholding the human rights and inherent dignity of all people.
